Camborne, Redruth & Hayle Labour The Labour Party in Camborne & Redruth Constituency

The 1st May local election is poignant for the town of Redruth.
There is not a doubt that Redruth is a great place to live and work in. From having lived here all my life and sat on the Town Council since 1985, I have seen the town adapt through time. However, there has been a clear need to revitalise, whilst most crucially, keeping the history and residents of the town at the heart of it.
Whilst on this latest term of being the Labour Redruth North Councillor, many buildings have been saved from disrepair and transformed for the future supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs, including:
● The Buttermarket
● The Old Library
● The London Coach house
● Midland Bank
All of which have provided jobs for local residents and have supported local suppliers. A Banking Hub and Post Office are excitingly joining to open in Redruth, within Market Way by March of this year.
I have served on the Town Council and Cornwall Council for 40 years during which time I have helped create new housing for local people and helped charitable organisations raise thousands. I have had the honour of being Redruth Town Mayor for the last two years.
